About Me
Adrian Knight - Mobile Disc Jockey

I started DJ'ing at the age of 15, which was back in the 1970's, so I have seen disco's change a lot over the years, and with it my audience's tastes.
I have worked on a few radio stations within the south, but most recently presenting on Portsmouth's Express FM 93.7, where I can still be heard now and again. I record interviews for some of the programmes. I also used to produce and voice over radio adverts.
I have worked in many of the hotels and stately homes in the area as well as pubs, clubs, Naval bases and halls. I currently freelance for an agency, so I can be booked directly. I am very comfortable working with older audiences as well as younger ones. I love kid's parties too. In fact I just love music, and I love DJ'ing. That's why I still do it.
My equipment is up to date, P.A.T. tested and I hold the required Public Liability insurance to £1,000,000.
For those who care, I run a 1600 watt amplification system with Class-D, H & H, Scott and Prosound speakers. My CD players are Pioneer CDJ500's MK2 specials and my mixer is a KAM. Microphones are by Sure, Sennheisser or KoolSound. I have a fog machine (although most venues will not allow their use) and I have two truss stands of lights. The front of the show is a poly-carb screen with dancing LED's and standard sound-to-light, but is really used to hide the wiring underneath the desk set-up.
I also have "roadies", who are also learning "the ropes". Martyn Brown and James Baker. Without them lugging the rig I'd be on my knees before I start. These guys also know how to mix the music when I need a comfort break. Cheers lads! Sometimes Martyn brings one his friends, generally James Crawley or Lewis Collins.
